The lecture mainly focuses on international cooperation through NGOs with the following parts: history of international development assistance, history of Korea's relationship with NGOs and development of Korea's development cooperation. Korea, with 15-year-old of history in development cooperation, is ready to expand in the 21st century with collaboration among the United Nations, governments of other countries and local/international NGOs. The lecturer concludes that it is time for Korea to systemize and develop assistance policy deliberately and efficiently to leap into an emerging donor country.
