초록/요약

This thesis investigated tentmaking as a strategy for mission among unreached people groups with a special reference to Saejungang Presbyterian Church. Out of 6.5 billion of world population, 2 billion of people have not yet been reached by the gospel; they live in the area of 10/40 Window, where traditional or professional missionaries and ministers are not welcomed. Missions through specialty occupations are now an emerging paradigm in the the 21st century. This study was developed in three major parts. Chapter 1 discussed about the current trends of mission strategies among unreached people groups. Chapter 2 examined the foundations of tentmaking as a mission strategy through biblical and historical perspectives. Chapter 3 discussed the models of tentmaking currently implemented at Saejungang Presbyterian Church. The study established that the traditional approach to mission is fast changing and that the need for training and mobilizing tentmaking missionaries to serve the unreached people groups in areas where missionary activities are either banned or restricted is emerging.
