The approximate equation ?? of effective slenderness ratio of single-lattice built-up compressive member was derived from exact equation ??, where ??. Here the value of ?? was all 1 by calculating it with lattice angle 30℃ and changing optionally materials, kind of built-up member, size, buckling length, and so forth in the kind of built-up form. This point shows that the value of exact equation is equal to that of approximate equation. Indications are that this will give a great help, for a great convenience of structural design and the possibility of obtaining affective slenderness ratio of single-lattice built-up compressive member, making use of not complicated exact equation but simple approximate equation.
