This thesis is a general study of the effect of the stone animal sculptures of Yi Dynasty on the general sculptures of Yi Dynasty. The analysis contains stone animal sculptures on the stone stems, stone railing columns and columns of bridges in various palaces, with stone animals of the various shrines and tomples of the Early, the Middle and the Late Periods of Yi Dynasty. To achieve clarity, the analysis is divided into the following component parts. 1.Stone animal sculptures of the Early Period of Yi Dynasty. a) Stone animals on the stone steps in front of Myung Jung Jun in Chang Kyung Koong, the Palace. b) Stone animalsin the stone steps in' front of Keun Jung Jun in Kyung Bok Koong, the Palance. c) Reclining stone animals on Keum Chun Kyo, the bridge in Kyung Bok Koong, the Palace. d) Stone animals on Keum Chun Kyo, the bridge in Chang Duk Koong, the Palace. 2.Stone animal sculptures of the Middle Period of Yi Dynasty. a) Stone animals on the stone stops inifront of in Jung Jun in Chang Kuk Koong, the palace. b) Stone animals on the stone stops on the ruins of Kyung Hee Koong, the palace. c) Stone animals in Dong Myo, the General Kwan Woo's tomb. d) Stone animals in the ruins of Nam Myo, the General Kwan Woo's tomb. e) Stone animals on the columns of OK Chun Kyo, the bridge in Chang Kyung Koong, the palace. 3.Stone animal aculptures of the Late Period of Yi Dynasty. a) Stone animals on the stone railing columns in Koun Jung Jun of Kyung Bok Koong, the balance. b) Stone animals infront of Kyung Hoe Roo in Kyung Bok Koong, the palace. c) Hae Tae, the stone animal in the capitel. d) Stone animals on the stone steps in front of Jip OK Je in Kyung Bok Koong, the palace. e) Stone animals of Choung Kypng Bee Kak, the stone monument. f) Stone animals on the stone steps in front of Joong Hwa Jun of Duk Soo Koong, the place. Here only the stone animals in round are discussed, excluding the relief works.
