The Role of Public Schools of Pakistan: : The Provision of Education and Future Challenges in regard to Provide Quality Education and Social Development

The performance of Public schools in Pakistan is questionable for the provision of quality education which is an alarming situation for the future to meet the economic and social development goals. Government should play the positive role to empower public sector education and school system with new policies and its implementation also with deep concentration to resolve all issues regarding less facilities, curriculum, low performance of teachers, small amount of annual budget for education and corruption. Improvement of public schools system will definitely play the viable part for economic development, social development, poverty reduction and viable future for the state and society. Thesis comprises of five chapters. Chapter one offers the general introduction, it has explained the background and objective of the research. Chapter two throws a light on education system in the public schools regarding participation, enrollment and education policies. Chapter three explains the statistics and international ranking. Chapter four explains the basic problems in public schools. Chapter five discusses the policies alternatives and recommendations for improving the public school system and Pakistan education goals.
