Mobile applications have been frequently used in the convention and exhibition industries, which are rapidly developing and attracting worldwide attention. Especially, China has been actively stepping up in technology fields such as smart devices as well as conventions and exhibitions in recent years. However, there is still a lack of research to provide the quality services of convention and exhibition applications in China. Accordingly, the main objective of this study is to identify the service quality factors of mobile applications that affect the satisfaction and behavioral intentions perceived by participants of convention and exhibition in China. Based on extensive literature reviews, as well as expert interviews and the pilot study, the service quality of exhibition and convention mobile application is divided into six factors such as playfulness, information quality, responsiveness, personalization, ease of use, and security. We examined the relationship among service quality, participants’ satisfaction, and behavioral intentions through survey of 290 users of convention and exhibition mobile application in China. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 program. It was found that the four factors excluding playfulness and responsiveness had a significant effect on user satisfaction, and the higher the user satisfaction, the higher the behavioral intentions.
