본 연구는 인구구조와 관련된 통계자료를 바탕으로 인구구조의 변화가 유아교원 전반에 미치는 영향을 고찰하여 정책적 시사점을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 인구구조의 변화는 특별히 각 지역별 편차에 관심을 가지고 분석되었는데, 이는 일부 지역에서는 과대학교와 과 밀학급의 문제가 발생하는 한편 일부 지역에서는 지방소멸과 소규모 학교의 문제가 발생하고 있기 때문이다. 이러한 지역별 인구 편차는 교원 수요, 공급, 배치 정책에 대한 문제, 지방교 육행정기관의 축소로 인한 승진 기회 등의 불균형을 야기할 것으로 보인다. 인구구조의 변화 에 대비하여 다음과 같은 정책 방안을 제시하였다. 유아교원 정책은 취원율 제고의 양적인 정책과 관심에서 유아교육의 질 제고를 위한 정책으로의 전환에 기초하여야 한다. 직전 교육 의 내용에 인구구조의 변화가 반영되어야 한다. 인구 구조변화에 대비한 교원의 중장기 수급 을 위한 정책이 마련되어야 한다. 인구의 고령화로 인한 노인복지 재정과의 갈등에 대한 대 비가 필요하다. 마지막으로 인구, 지리, 교육, 사회, 경제 등이 연계된 종합적인 연구가 필요 하다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impacts of demographic changes on overall early childhood education and to provide policy implications for early childhood teachers based on demographic data. This shows the possible problems with excessively large schools and overcrowded classes in some areas, while local disappearance and small schools and classes in some locals provides another area for concern. In addition, local differences in demographics can cause problems with teacher supply and placement policies, and imbalances such as promotion opportunities due to the reduction of local educational administrative institutions are likely to be caused. In preparation for such a demographic change, early childhood teacher training, education, and policy needs to be shifted from the quantitative policies and interests of raising the enrollment rate to policies for improving the quality of early childhood education, and to build policies for mid- to long-term supply and demand of teachers in preparation for structural changes of pre-service teacher training and education. Finally, research on early childhood education and care is needed in a comprehensive and comprehensive context that links population, geography, education, society, and the economy.
