학습자 중심의 번역 이론 교육신 지 선 요약: 본 연구는 통번역 교육에서 이론적 요소가 통번역 능력 함양에 미치는 긍정적인 영향에 대해 확인하고 학습자 중심 교수법의 효과를 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 통번역대학원 3학기에 재학 중인 학생 9명을 대상으로, 학생들의 니즈를 조사하여 각 개인의 관심 주제를 중심으로 수업 내용을 확정하였다. 학생들은 관련 논문을 찾아 발표와 토론을 주도하였고 교수자는 조언을 제공하는 역할을 담당하였다. 학생들에게는 본 수업에서 습득한 이론적 지식을 실제 통번역 연습에 적용할 수 있는 과제가 주어졌다. 이러한 학습자 중심의 이론 수업을 통해서 학생들은 실무에 도움이 되는 이론의 효용을 체험할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 강의계획안의 설계, 수업 자료의 준비, 수업 중의 활동 및 과제 등 수업 진행 방식을 단계별로 제시하여 향후 통번역 교수자들이 수업에서 이론을 지도하고자 할 때 참고할 수 있다는데 그 의의가 있다. 핵심어: 번역 이론, 학습자 중심, 교수법, 번역 능력, 강의계획안 □ 접수일: 2020년 9월 27일, 수정일: 2020년 10월 11일, 게재확정일: 2020년 10월 20일＊ 이화여자대학교 통역번역대학원 번역학과 부교수(Professor, Ewha Womans Univ., Email: jisunshin@ewha.ac.kr)

Learner-centered Education for Translation TheoriesJisun Shin* Abstract: The purpose of this study is to check the positive effects of theoretical elements on the development of translation and interpretation competence in classroom, and to examine the effect of learner-centered teaching methods. To this end, nine students enrolled in the 3rd semester of the Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation were surveyed to investigate the specific needs of the students, and the topics of each class were decided based on the subject of each individual’s interest. Students led presentations and discussions by finding related papers, task was given to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired by the students in this class to the actual translation practice. Through these learner-oriented theory classes, students were able to experience the utility of theories that were helpful in practice. This study is meaningful in that it presents the design of the lesson plan, preparation of teaching resources, in-class activities and assignments, so that interpretation and translation instructors can refer to it when they want to teach theories in class.
