초록/요약
최근의 청년세대는 전통적인 방식의 정치참여를 하지 않고, 온라인을 중심으로 이루어지는 다양한 사회운동에 참여하고 있다. 이로 인해 이들의 정치참여와 관련하여서는 이들이 정치적으로 무관심하다는 평가와 새로운 방식의 정치를 주도한다는 상반된 평가가 공존하고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 점에 착안하여, 다양한 정치성향을 가진 20-30대 청년세대를 대상으로 한 인터뷰를 통해 이들이 가진 정치에 대한 생각과 정치 참여 방식에 대해 확인하고, 그러한 인지적 사고와 활동의 기저에 자리한 인지 구조를 분석해봄으로써 최근 나타나는 청년세대의 정치참여 모습이 정치의 주변화로 초래된 현상인지, 아니면 새로운 유형의 정치가 등장한 것인지 살펴보았다. 결과적으로 청년세대는 자신들만의 방식으로 정치에 적극적으로 참여하고 있었고, 스스로의 정치참여 방식을 기존 기성세대의 정치참여 방식에 대항하는 새로운 유형의 정치로 인식하고 있었다.

Younger generations of recent years are participating in various social movements centered on online rather than traditional political participation. For this reason, with regard to their participation in politics, the evaluation that they are politically indifferent and the contradicting evaluation that they lead a new way of politics coexist. Focusing on these points, this study interviewed young generations in their 20s and 30s with various political orientations to examine their thoughts on politics and their participation in politics. In addition, by analyzing the cognitive structure underlying such cognitive thinking and activities, we examined whether the recent appearance of the youth's participation in politics was a phenomenon caused by marginalization of politics or a new type of politics emerged. As a result, young generations were actively participating in politics in their own way, and their own way of participating in politics was recognized as a new type of politics against the existing way of participating in politics.
