본 연구는 고령친화 소통환경 조성을 위한 교육적 지원의 방향성을 연구하는 것을 목적으로 비노인 참여자들의 노인 소통 문제 인식을 조사한 논문이다. 이를 위해 본고에서는 먼저 고령친화 소통환경 개념 및 교육적 지원의 방향성에 대해 검토하였다. 고령친화 소통환경은 WHO에서 먼저 사용한 ‘고령친화 환경(age-friendly environments)’에서 의사소통 부분을 초점에 둔 개념으로, 이러한 환경 조성을 위해서는 국어교육의 역할이 매우 중요하다. 노인 소통 문제에 대한 비노인 참여자의 인식은, 세대 간 소통, 교육 소통, 의료 소통의 측면에서 각각 대학생, 노인복지관 담당자, 간호사를 대상으로 표적집단면담(Focus Group Interview: FGI)을 실시하여 조사하였다. 이를 통해 고령친화 소통환경의 조성을 위해서는 총체성과 쌍방향성이라는 특성이 전제되어야 하며, 이를 바탕으로 한 교육적 지원이 매우 중요함을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 국어교육적 차원에서 총체적이고 유기적인 교육, 전 세대를 대상으로 한 쌍방향적 교육, 모든 세대를 위한 신체적, 정서적, 사회적 차원의 교육이 필요함을 주장하였다. 본 연구를 통해 노인을 위한 고령친화 환경 조성은 노인을 포함한 우리 모두를 위한 환경 조성이며, 이러한 고령친화 소통환경을 위한 국어교육의 역할이 강조되어야 함을 확인할 수 있었다.

This study investigated the recognition of elderly communication problems of non-elderly participants for the purpose of researching the direction of educational support for creating an age-friendly communication environment. To this end, this study first investigated the concept of an aging-friendly communication environment and the direction of educational support. Age-friendly communication environment is the concept that focuses on communication in 'age-friendly environment' first used by WHO and the role of Korean language education is very important to create this environment. Also, this study conducted Focus Group Interview(FGI) on college students, people in charge of senior welfare centers, and nurses to investigate the recognition of elderly communication problems of non-elderly participants. It was identified that totality and bidirection must be premised in order to create an age-friendly communication environment and educational support based on this is very important. Also, this study argued that the whole and organic education, interactive education for all generations, and education at physical, emotional and social level for all generations are necessary at the level of Korean language education. This study confirmed that creating an age-friendly environment for the elderly is an environment for everyone including the elderly, and it was identified that the role of Korean education for this elderly-friendly communication environment should be emphasized.
