본 연구는 잠재성장모형(LGM)을 활용하여 대학생의 진로탐색과 진로의식에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 특히 학생참여 변인에 주목하여 학생참여의 초기값(intercept)과 변화율(slope)이 대학생의 진로탐색과 진로의식에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 「한국교육종단연구2005」 7차~9차 데이터의 4년제 대학생 중 조사에 모두 참여한 695명을 분석대상으로 활용하였다. 연구 결과, 성별과 학점, 학생참여가 대학생의 진로탐색에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 대학생의 진로의식에는 전공계열, 교육계획, 부모의 교육수준, 대학규모, 학생참여 요인 등이 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 특히 대학생의 학생참여는 학년이 올라갈수록 증가하는 것으로 나타났는데, 학생참여의 초기값과 변화율이 높은 학생일수록 진로탐색을 보다 적극적으로 수행하고 진로의식이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 학생참여는 대학의 교수학습 환경 속에서 상당히 다양한 양상으로 나타날 수 있다. 특히 본 연구는 학생참여의 변화가 대학생의 발달에 미치는 영향을 동태적 과정으로 파악하고 검증했다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다.

This study analyzed the factors influencing the career exploration and career consciousness of college students by applying latent growth models(LGM). In particular, we looked at the effect of the intercept and slope in student engagement on college students' career exploration and career consciousness. Among the four-year college students who participated in the 7th to 9th annual surveys of the <Korean Education Longitudinal Study 2005>, 695 students were used for analysis. Studies have shown that gender, grades, and student engagement have significant effects on college students' career exploration, while majors, education plans, parents' education levels, college size, and student engagement affect career consciousness of college students. In particular, student engagement increased as the grade went up, and students with higher initial values and rate of change in student engagement were more positive about career exploration and career consciousness. Student engagement can be seen in a wide variety of aspects in the teaching and learning environment of universities. This study has academic value in that it has verified the impact of changes in student engagement on the development of college students through dynamic processes.
