컴퓨팅에 기반한 문제해결력 향상을 목적으로 하는 SW교육에서 ‘문제’는 주요 교수학습 자료로 활용된다. 그러므로 SW교육 콘텐츠의 질적 제고를 위해서는 현행 SW교육에서 학습자에게 어떤 문제가 제공되는가에 대한 논의가 필요하다. 이에 본 연구는 2015 개정 교육과정 초등 실과교과서 SW교육 단원의 학습 문제를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 학습목표는 인지적 과정 중에서 ‘이해하다’, ‘적용하다’, ‘개발하다’, 지식 유형 가운데 ‘절차적 지식’과 ‘사실적 지식’ 영역에 집중되어 있었다. 학습 문제는 다양한 내용요소를 포괄하였으나, 그 맥락성은 개인적 맥락에 집중되어 있었다. 비구조성의 경우, 복잡성과 실제성이 낮은 문제가 높은 비율로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과를 토대로 SW교육에서 문제 설계를 위한 시사점을 논의하였다.

“Problem” is an important teaching and learning material in SW education that aims to improve the problem-solving skills of students based on computation. Therefore, discussions concerning the learning problems provided to the students in SW education are necessary to improve the quality of education. In this study, researchers analyzed the problems presented in elementary practical arts textbooks, which are designed in accordance with the 2015 revised curriculum. The results showed that most of the learning objectives included “understanding,” “application,” and “development” in the cognitive processes, and “procedural knowledge,” and “factual knowledge” in the types of knowledge. The problems included various content elements. However, most problems covered personal contexts, rather than social or career contexts. With regard to the level of structuredness of the problem, those with low complexity and authenticity appeared at a high rate. Further, the implications for designing problems in future SW education have been discussed.
