이 연구는 최근 10년간 가족이 참여한 국내외 보완대체의사소통 연구를 분석하고 연구 동향을 알아보기 위해 실시하였다. 방법: 이러한 연구 목적에 따라 2008년부터 2018년까지의 가족 참여 AAC 연구 총 10편을 선정하였고 이들의 전반적 특성과 연구 방법에 따라 실험연구와 질적연구 및 조사연구에 대한 내용분석을 실시하였다. 결과: 분석한 결과 전체적으로 연구의 수가 많지 않고 일반적으로 한 해에 한 편에 그치는 경우가 많아 양적으로 가족이 참여하는 AAC 연구가 필요함을 보여주었다. 가장 많이 사용된 연구방법은 실험연구이며 그중에서도 단일대상연구가 주를 이루었다. 독립변인은 부모교육이었으며 종속변인은 부모의 상호작용 전략실행과 아동의 상호작용 및 의사소통 능력으로 나타났다. 질적 연구에서는 주로 AAC 도구 사용, 자녀와의 의사소통 및 상호작용, 중재와 관련된 부모의 인식 및 경험에 대한 것이었으며, 조사연구는 AAC를 사용하는 자녀의 화용론적 기술에 관한 것이었다. 논의 및 결론: 가족이 참여하는 보완대체의사소통 연구는 첫째, 다양한 가족 구성원을 포함하고 이들에 대한 직접적 AAC 중재 훈련을 고려해야 할 필요가 있고 둘째, AAC 연구에 다양한 연구자들의 참여가 필요하며 양적, 질적으로 다양한 연구방법을 사용하는 연구들이 확대될 필요성이 있다. 셋째, 폭넓은 연령층을 대상으로 다양한 중재목표를 설정할 필요가 있다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the research trends of domestic and international Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) research involving family members in the past 10 years. Method: A total of 10 studies was selected 2008-2018 according to the selection criteria among the family-involved AAC research, and analyzed, according to their overall characteristics and methods of study. Results: The analysis found that there has been minimal research on this topic in the past 10 years and that on average, only one study was conducted yearly showing the need for AAC research involving families. The most frequently used method of research was the experimental design, and the majority of it used single subject design. Independent variables in the experimental study were parent education, and dependent variables were parental interaction strategy execution, and child interaction, and communication skills. Qualitative studies addressed using the AAC, communication, and interaction with the child and parent’s perception and experiences with intervention. The survey study was about the pragmatic skills of a child using the AAC. Conclusion: The AAC study involving family members must be considered 1) including the various family members and direct AAC intervention training for them, and 2) expanding the scope of the participating researchers and the variety of research design, and 3) including participants with a wide range of age groups who experienced various intervention backgrounds.
