This thesis is results that the researcher participated in a conference for celebrating the 100th anniversary of Seo, Geojeong (徐居正)'s birth and studied his poems of laughter and humor by embracing them separately. Seo, Geojeong continued to wrote humorous poems while he was a governmental official and had a wide range of people who enjoyed humor with him. As his poetic works of this line showed the characteristics that correspond to 『A Collection of Humorous Tales of Leisure (太平閑話滑稽傳)』󰡕, his masterpiece and jokebook, this thesis called this 'poetics of laughter and humor'. The body examined and proved the following contents: 1) Central government officials of the Joseon Dynasty (朝鮮) in the 15th century collectively produced and enjoyed humor. Among them, Seo, Geojeong especially embodied poetics of laughter taking the lead. 2) In bureaucratic society, poems of colleagues and laughter included mischievous mockeries and sexual jokes, but they were as pleasant as receivers and senders can mutually accept them. 3) Poetic works of laughter which were expanded into government officials' families and neighbors were the result that Seo, Geojeong routinized humor regardless of private and public spheres and recognized his everyday world as humorous time and space. 4) The poetic works related to his old age embracing his weak body were toward smiles and simple laughter and utilized his aesthetic talent until the end of his life. In the concluding remarks, it suggested that poetics of laughter accomplished by Seo, Geojeong should be evaluated as important talent of bureaucratic literature in the 15th century. This is thought that poetics of laughter is one of charming aspects that flowed through Seo, Geojeong's poetic literature and the unique phenomenon had by bureaucratic society in the 15th century.
