초록/요약
이 연구에서는 「한국교육종단연구2013(KELS 2013)」초등학교 5패널의 4차년도(2016년) 자료를 활용하여 중학생의 학교폭력 피해경험 가능성에 영향을 미치는 학교 요인에 대해 로지스틱 회귀모형(Logistic regression model)을활용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 학생이 국·공립학교에 비해 사립학교에 다니는 경우, 학교 소재지가 대도시에 비해읍면지역인 경우는 중학생의 학교폭력 피해경험 가능성이 높아지는 것으로 나타났으며, 학생들의 교내에 학교폭력발생에 대한 인식 수준이 높을수록, 교사와의 관계가 좋을수록, 학업성취도가 높을수록 학교폭력 피해경험 가능성은 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 또래애착 수준이 높은 것은 중학생의 학교폭력 피해경험 가능성을 통계적으로 유의미하게낮추는 요인으로 확인되었다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같은 교육정책적 시사점을 제시하였다. 첫째, 사립학교와읍면지역에 소재한 학교의 특성과 맥락을 고려한 학교폭력예방 교육프로그램을 마련·추진할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 학교차원에서 교내학교폭력 발생정도에 대한 학생들의 인식을 수시·정기로 조사하여 교내학교폭력 발생 가능성 및 현황을파악하고, 조사 결과에 기초한 학교폭력예방 대안을 마련해야 한다. 셋째, 학생들이 교내에서 교사 및 친구들과 원만한관계를 유지할 수 있도록 하는 실천적인 방안을 마련해야 한다.

This study aimed to analyze the school factors affecting the possibility of middle school students’ experience of school violence using the data of the fourth Korean Education Longitudinal Study 2013 (KELS 2013) and a logistic regression model. The findings of this study are as follows. Compared to students belonging to national and public schools, private schools have increased the possibility of middle school students experiencing school violence victimization in towns and villages compared to large cities. The higher the level of awareness of the occurrence of school violence in schools, the better the relationship with teachers, and the higher the academic achievement, the greater the likelihood of experiencing school violence victimization. Accordingly, the following policy implications were derived. First, it is necessary to prepare and implement education programs for the prevention of school violence in consideration of the characteristics and context of private schools and schools located in towns and villages. Second, students' perception of the degree of school violence at the school level should be investigated occasionally and regularly to understand the possibility and status of school violence. Furthermore, alternatives to prevent it should be prepared based on the results of the survey. Third, teachers should formulate ways to help students maintain positive relationships with teachers and friends at school.
