청소년의 공동체 의식, 학교생활 적응 및 다문화 수용의 종단적 안정성과 상호영향

본 연구의 목적은 청소년의 공동체 의식, 학교생활 적응, 다문화 수용의 종단적 안정성과 상호 영향을 살펴봄에 따라 아동청소년 복지를 함양하는 것이다. 본 연구는 한국 아동ㆍ청소년 패널조사 2010 데이터 중 초4 패널을 활용하였으며, 청소년 1,851명을 대상으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 5년에 걸쳐 청소년의 공동체 의식, 학교생활 적응, 다문화 수용의 경로동일성 결과, 이전 시점의 공동체 의식, 학교생활 적응, 다문화 수용은 이후 시점의 공동체 의식, 학교생활 적응, 다문화 수용에 유의미한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 공동체 의식과 학교생활 적응 간에 상호 종단적 인과관계가 통계적으로 유의미한 정적영향이 나타났으며, 공동체 의식과 다문화 수용 간에도 통계적으로 유의미한 정적 인과관계가 유의함을 확인하였다. 셋째, 학교생활 적응과 다문화 수용 간에서는 학교생활 적응은 다문화 수용에 유의한 정적영향을 미쳤으나, 다문화 수용은 학교생활 적응에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 아동ㆍ청소년 복지의 함의를 논하였다.

This study explores longitudinal reciprocal effects between ‘sense of community’, ‘school adjustment’ and ‘multi-cultural acceptance’ and to seek implications for social welfare in adolescents. For the purpose of the study, we used data of the 3rd wave (2012), the 5th wave (2014), and the 7th wave (2016) from Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS). Autoregressive cross-lagged model was used to test reciprocal effects, and there were 1,851 adolescents who responded to above-mentioned waves of surveys. The findings of this study were as follows. First, sense of community, school adjustment and multi-cultural acceptance in the 3rd wave had a significant effect on sense of community, school adjustment and multi-cultural acceptance in the 5th wave and in the 7th wave respectively. Second, there was a statistically significant longitudinal reciprocal relationship between sense of community and school adjustment. In addition, sense of community had a significant longitudinal reciprocal relationship with multi-cultural acceptance. However, although there was a statistically significant longitudinal effect on multi-cultural acceptance by school adjustment, but not vice versa. Based on these results, we made suggestions to improve sense of community, school adjustment and multi-cultural acceptance among adolescents.
