새로운 과학기술의 발달로 인해 미디어 환경이 크게 변화하면서 많은 양의 정보를 분석하고 판단하여 활용하는 능력이 이 시대의 핵심역량으로 떠오르고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 인공지능 기반 미술을 중심으로 한 미술비평교육이 고등학생의 미디어 리터러시에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구대상은 서울과 경기지역에 소재한 고등학교의 학생 30명을 선정하였고, 천혜선(2016)이 개발한 미디어 리터러시 검사지를 사전과 사후검사에 활용하였다. 인공지능 기반 미술을 중심으로 한 미술비평수업은 학습자가 인공지능 기술을 활용한 미술의 창작과정을 탐구하며 미디어 사회를 반영하는 인공지능 미술작품을 비평하고, 인공지능을 직접 활용하여 자신의 작품을 제작할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 본 연구 수업의 사전·사후 검사지는 SPSS Ver. 21.0 프로그램으로 통계처리 하였고, 학습자의 수업 결과물은 질적 분석하여 연구의 신뢰도를 높이고자 하였다. 연구 결과 인공지능 기반 미술을 중심으로 한 미술비평교육은 고등학생의 미디어 리터러시에 유의미한 변화를 가져왔으며 하위영역인 미디어 이용 통제, 미디어의 도구적 활용, 시민미디어에 대한 이해, 개인창작 영역에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 따라서 본 연구는 인공지능 기반 미술을 중심으로 한 미술비평교육을 통해 미디어 리터러시 교육의 새로운 융합적 교육 방안을 모색하고 그 효과를 검증하였다는 데에 의의가 있다.

With the development of new science and technology, the ability to analyze, judge and utilize large amounts of information is emerging as a key competence of this era. In response, this study aims to find out the impact of art criticism education focusing on artificial intelligence- based art on media literacy of high school students. The research targets were 30 high school students in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, and designed to allow learners to criticize artificial intelligence artworks and produce their own works using artificial intelligence. According to statistics of pre-post media literacy test using the SPSS Ver. 21.0 program, art criticism classes have made significant changes in media literacy for high school students, and have a positive impact on sub-section such as media use control, tool use of media, understanding citizen media, and personal creation. Therefore, this study is meaningful in that it verified the effectiveness of media literacy through artificial intelligence-based art criticism education.
