본 연구는 유아교사의 정서적 지형도에 나타난 거리감과 유아교사의 개인 및 기관 변인에 따라 정서적 지형도 전체와 영역 및 대상별로 나타나는 거리감의 차이를 알아보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구는 서울 및 경기지역 유치원과 어린이집에 근무하는 유아교사 229명을 대상으로 하였.으며, 자료수집을 위해 연구자가 선행연구를 바탕으로 제작한 설문지를 사용하였다. 수집한 자료를 분석하기 위해 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차를 산출하고, 독립표본 t검증과 일원분산분석(ANOVA)을 실시하였으며, 유의한 차이가 나타난 경우 사후검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 유아교사의 정서적 지형도 전체와 영역 및 대상에서 거리감은 모두 평균 이하로 나타났고, 도덕적 지형도가 가장 거리감을 많이 느끼는 영역이었으며, 학부모가 가장 거리감을 많이 느끼는 대상이었다. 둘째, 유아교사의 개인 변인 중 연령, 학력에 따라, 유아교사의 기관 변인 중 기관유형, 담임학급 영유아 연령, 담임학급 영유아 인원수, 근무시간에 따라 정서적 지형도 전체와 영역 및 대상별로 나타나는 거리감에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 본 연구는 양적연구방법을 이용하여 유아교사의 정서적 지형도에 나타난 거리감을 살펴본 첫 연구라는 의의가 있다. 또한 본 연구의 결과는 유아교사와 관련된 변인에 따라 정서적 지형도에서의 거리감을 줄이기 위한 방안 모색이 개인, 기관의 조직 및 행정 차원에서 필요함을 시사한다.

This study aims at finding out whether there are differences in the distance and personal/institutional variables of early childhood teachers in the whole, area and target of their emotional geographies. The study was conducted on 229 teachers of kindergartens and daycare centers in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The researcher developed a questionnaire based on previous research, to collect data. For data analysis, frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation were calculated. Also independent sample t -test and one-way ANOVA were performed, and Scheffe posterior test was performed if there were significant differences. The results of this study are as follows: First, early childhood teachers’ distance of the whole, area and target in the emotional geographies were all below average. Early childhood teachers felt the most distance in moral geography among the emotional geographies area, and they felt the most distance in parents among the emotional geographies target. Second, there were significant differences in the whole emotional geographies, area and target depending on age and educational background among personal variables. Third, there were significant differences in the whole emotional geographies, area and target depending on the institution type, age of children in the homeroom class, number of children in the homeroom class and working hours. This study is meaningful as the first study to examine the distance on the emotional geographies of early childhood teachers using quantitative research methods. The results of this study suggest that there is a need to find ways to reduce distance in emotional geographies on both personal level and organization, administration of institutional level as the variables related to early childhood teachers.
