본 연구는 가상현실을 직업교육에서의 활용을 위한 체계적인 교수법과 가상현실에서 학습한 내용을 실제 상황으로 전이 효과성을 알아보고자, 발달장애 학생에게 가상현실 기반의 바리스타 직업교육을 적용하여 직무의 지식, 기술, 태도의 습득과 학습 전이에 미치는 영향을 확인하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 살펴본 연구 문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가상현실 기반의 직업교육이 발달장애 학생의 바리스타 직무 관련 지식, 기술, 태도의 습득에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가?, 둘째, 가상현실 기반의 직업교육이 발달장애 학생의 바리스타 직무 관련 지식, 기술, 태도의 전이에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가? 이다. 본 연구 문제를 검증하기 위하여 천안시 소재의 특수학교 발달장애 학생 3명을 대상으로 단일대상연구방법 중 중다간헐기초선 설계를 사용하여 약 4개월 동안 가상현실 기반으로 바리스타 훈련 프로그램을 활용하여 중재를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 참여자 모두 바리스타 관련 직무의 지식, 기술, 태도를 습득하여 직무수행률에 향상을 보였다. 중재가 종료된 3주 후, 6주 후, 9주 후, 12주 후에도 바리스타 관련 직무의 지식, 기술, 태도에서 수행을 유지하여 학습의 전이가 일어난 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통하여 몰입형 가상현실 매체가 갖는 교육적 효과를 확인하였으며, COVID-19의 장기화로 인한 비대면 직업교육과 실제적 체험 기회 부족으로 어려움을 겪는 발달장애 학생의 직업교육 현장에 대안적인 훈련방법을 제시했다는 점에서 의의를 가진다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of virtual reality-based vocational education on the learning transfer of students with developmental disabilities. The research questions identified in this study are as follows. (1) How does virtual reality-based vocational education affect the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and attitude related to the barista job performance of students with developmental disabilities?, and (2) How does virtual reality-based vocational education affect the transfer of knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to the barista job performance of students with developmental disabilities? To investigate the research questions, the study was conducted for about 4 months using a medium-multiple intermittent baseline design for three students with developmental disabilities at a special school. It was found that the participants’ job performance was improved by acquiring the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of baristas-related jobs. Their performance was maintained for 3 weeks, 6 weeks, and 12 weeks after the intervention was finished, confirming learning transfer. This study has significance in confirming the educational effect of immersive virtual reality, and suggests an alternative educational method to vocational education for students with developmental disabilities who suffer from the lack of opportunities for practical experiences.
