본 연구의 목적은 장애인 문화예술교육 예술강사의 교육 전문성 향상을 위하여, 예술강사를 대상으로 연수교육에 대한 요구를 파악하여 적합한 연수교육 내용을 제시하는 것이다. 장애인 문화예술교육 예술강사 107명을 대상으로 이들의 연수교육 요구를 7개 영역 23개 문항의 질문지 응답으로 조사하였다. 7개 연수교육 내용은 (1) 장애이해와 장애인에 대한 기본 태도, (2) 장애인 문화예술교육에 대한 이해, (3) 장애 특성을 고려한 교수방법, (4) 수업 중 발생하는 수업 방해 행동 및 응급 상황에 대한 대처, (5) 교과 및 직업 연계 방법, (6) 실습 및 수업현장 참관, (7) 관련법의 이해를 포함한다. 예술강사는 7개 영역 23개 모든 항목에서 5점 만점에 평균 4.45의 높은 연수교육 요구를 나타냈다. 특히 3개 영역, 장애이해와 장애인에 대한 기본 태도, 장애 특성을 고려한 교수방법, 수업 중 발생하는 수업 방해 행동 및 응급 상황에 대한 대처 영역에 대해 가장 높은 요구를 보였다. 예술강사의 배경변인인 전공분야와 경력의 장단에 따른 연수교육 요구는 차이가 없었으나 교육대상자의 연령대가 학령기 혹은 성인기에 따라서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 본 연구는 장애인 문화예술교육의 질 향상을 위해 예술강사를 대상으로 연수교육 내용 요구를 처음으로 직접 조사하여 연수교육 내용을 제시했다는 의미를 지니며, 이 예술강사의 교육 전문성 향상을 위한 교육과정 및 전문교육 프로그램의 개발과 정기적인 연수교육 실행의 필요성 등을 제언하였다.

The aim of this study was to identify the need for training content for the culture and art education instructors for individuals with disabilities (ID) to improve their professional teaching knowledges and skills and to provide basic data for developing in-service training curriculum. This study investigated a total of 107 culture and art education instructors’ training needs via a survey with 7 domains and 23 items of the training contents. The 7 domains include: (1) understanding of disability and basic attitudes to ID; (2) understanding of culture and art education for ID; (3) teaching methods appropriate for the characteristics of ID; (4) coping with behaviors interrupting classes and crisis management; (5) connecting methods to the school curricula or to occupations; (6) practical training and class visiting; and (7) understanding of the related laws. There were high needs for all 7 domains and 23 items of the training contents with an average of 4.45 out of 5. Differences in training needs among the subgroups of 107 instructors according to their specialty or career length were not found. However, there were statistically significant differences between instructors for school-aged learners and those for adult learners in their training needs. This study first surveyed the instructors’ training needs for improving their teaching professionalism for ID and intended to promote development of the actual in-service training curriculum and implementation of regular in-service training program for culture and art education instructors for ID.
