목적: 본 연구는 한국어교육을 위해 다양한 추측 표현 항목들의 언어적 특성을 확인하고 이를 바탕으로 실제적인 교수 방안을 마련하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 방법: 다양한 추측 표현 항목들 가운데 한국어 교재의 초․중급 단계에서 고빈도로 제시되는 ‘-겠-’, ‘-(으)ㄹ 것이다’, ‘-(으)ㄹ 것 같다’, ‘-나 보다’, ‘-(으) ㄹ 모양이다’ 5개를 선정하였고, 이 항목들에 대한 형태․통사, 의미, 담화․화용적인 변별 기능에 대한 주의집중과 관찰을 할 수 있도록 O-H-E (Obser- vation-Hypothesis-Experiment) 모형을 적용한 교수 방안을 마련하였다. 결과: 관찰(Observation) 단계에서는 추측 표현 항목이 반영된 담화 자료를 시청할 수 있도록 구성하였고, 이어지는 가설(Hypothesis) 단계에서는 문법성 판단 과제, 표 채우기, 플로 차트를 적용하였다. 마지막으로 탐구․시도(Experiment) 단계에서는 담화 완성과제를 실시하도록 하였다. 결론: 이와 같은 실제적인 교수 방안을 통해 학습자들은 추측 표현 항목들이 갖는 언어적 특성에 대한 변별을 할 수 있고 이를 통해 담화 상황에 알맞은 추측 표현을 사용할 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to confirm the linguistic characteristics of diverse conjectural expressions and provide for practical teaching methods for the Korean language education. Methods: For this purpose, the researchers selected 5 conjectural expressions used most frequently in the basic and intermediate level Korean language textbooks: ''-keyss-’, ‘-(u)l kesita’, ‘-(u)l kes kathta’, ‘-na pota’ and ‘-(u)l moyangita’. Then the researcher designed a pedagogics applying the O-H-E model so that the learners could observe the distinction of the expressions morphosyntactic features, meaning and discourse pragramatic. Results: At the stage of Observation, we suggested utilizing video clips that help the learners discover the diverse conjectural expressions of Korean. and at the stage of Hypothesis, we designed the grammaticality judgment test, completing a table task and flow chart to support the learners’ hypothesis testing on the expression. At the last stage of Experimental, we introduced the quasi-production task that the learners could utilize their knowledge followed by video clip. Conclusion: The pedagogics suggested in this current study could help the learners who had difficulty in identifying the distinct linguistic features to disambiguate the linguistic context of each Korean conjectural expressions and to use them properly to the situations of discourse.
