초록/요약
Through the detailed reading of “The True Story of Ah Q”, this article reveals that the description of Ah Q as a existence of life with desires and instincts is based on a kind of narrative strategy derived from the author's sympathy and compassion, and analyzes the literary effects between text and readers. And this article explores the possibility of breaking through of Ah Q's “spiritual victory method”, that is not due to Ah Q's personality described in the text, but to the literary effect that occurs between the text and the reader by the author's narrative strategy. If you express the possibility of breaking through of the ‘spiritual victory method' in the language of Ah Q awakening within the text of “The True Story of Ah Q”, it will be a direct language of enlightenment. Rather, by describing Ah Q as a living being with desire and instinct, it is possible to maximize the literary effect by inducing reflective thinking to the reader outside the text. Ah Q's narrative of desire and instinct reflects the author's sympathy and compassion for Ah Q, and in the process of its transmission to readers, Ah Q's “spiritual victory method” is likely to be broken through. The tragic description of the fate of Ah Q, who finally was shot mentally, expresses the full implementation of the “spiritual victory method” and the complete failure of the “Revolution.” But “Save me...” As he said, Ah Q's awareness, which occurred after facing death, turns into an reader's awakening problem of how to save the Ah Q even if it remain in the “instinct” stage. In the end, the possibility of breaking through of the “spiritual victory method”, and the revelation of “the Revolution” is not structured within the personality of Ah Q described in the text of “The True Story of Ah Q”, and is obtained by the literary effect that occurs between the text and the reader due to the author's narrative strategy.

〈아Q정전〉 텍스트 내에서 아Q의 각성의 언어로 ‘정신승리법’의 돌파 가능성을 표현한다면, 그것은 직접적인 계몽의 언어가 될 것이다. 오히려 욕망ㆍ본능을 지닌 생명 존재로서 아Q에 대한 동정과 연민의 서사만을 서술함으로써 텍스트 바깥에서 독자에게 반성적 사유를 유발하여 문학적 효과를 극대화할 수 있다. 아Q의 욕망ㆍ본능에 대한 서사는 아Q에 대한 작가의 동정과 연민의 인간애가 투영된 것인 바, 그것이 독자에게 전이되는 과정에서 아Q의 ‘정신승리법’은 돌파될 가능성이 생긴다. 〈아Q정전〉 텍스트 내에서 최종적으로 영혼이 물어뜯긴, 정신적 총살을 당하는 아Q의 운명을 비극적으로 묘사한 것은 ‘정신승리법’의 전면적 구현, ‘혁명’의 완전한 실패를 표현한 것이다. 그렇지만 ‘사람 살려……’라고 외친, 죽음에 직면한 후발생한 아Q의 자각은 ‘본능’ 단계에 머물러 있다고 하더라도 작가의 목소리가 겹쳐짐으로써 독자에 이르면 ‘영혼이 물어뜯긴’ 아Q를 어떻게 구할 것인가하는 각성의 문제로 전환한다. 결국 ‘정신승리법’의 돌파 가능성이나 ‘혁명’의 계시는 〈아Q정전〉 텍스트 내에서 묘사되는 아 Q의 인격 속에 구조화되어 있지 않으며, 작가의 서사 전략으로 인해 텍스트와 독자 사이에서 발생하는 문학적 효과에 의해 획득된다.
