현대사회에서 디지털 리터러시가 핵심역량으로 요구되면서 국내에서도 디지털 리터러시 함양을 위한 교육과정 및 교육 프로그램 개발에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 국내에서 실행된 디지털 리터러시 교육 프로그램의 효과성을 검토하고, 설계에 대한 제언을 하고자 디지털 리터러시 교육 프로그램의 효과성에 대한 메타분석을 실시하였다. 이를 위해 국내에서 출간된 학술지 및 학위논문을 수집하고 PICOS 방법에 따라 검토하여 최종적으로 12편의 문헌을 선정하였다. 문헌 선정 이후에는 저자, 제목, 출판연도 등 문헌에 대한 기본적인 정보, 실험집단과 통제집단의 크기, 평균 및 표준편차와 같은 효과크기 산출에 필요한 정보를 코딩하였다. 다음으로, 이들을 대상으로 전체 효과크기, 인지적 및 정의적 변인별 효과크기, 대상, 출판유형, 교과유형, 프로그램 차시에 따른 조절효과 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 전체 효과크기는 0.59로 중간 효과크기로 나타났고, 종속변인별 효과크기를 살펴보면 인지적 영역, 정의적 영역 또한 모두 중간 정도의 효과크기인 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 조절변인인 학습대상, 프로그램 차시에 다른 효과크기 차이가 유의했다. 초등학생 집단에서 가장 큰 효과크기가 있었고, 다음으로 유아, 고등학생, 중학생 순으로 나타났으며, 프로그램 차시는 11차시 이상부터 큰 효과크기를 나타냈다. 이를 토대로 본 연구는 디지털 리터러시 교육 프로그램의 효과성을 점검하고, 향후 디지털 리터러시 교육 프로그램 개발에 대한 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다.

As digital literacy is required as a core competency in modern society, the interest in the development of curriculum and educational programs to foster digital literacy is increasing in Korea. This study reviewed the digital literacy education programs implemented in Korea and conducted a meta-analysis on the effectiveness of digital literacy education programs. Following the PICOS approach, we selected 12 articles by reviewing academic journals, theses, and dissertations published in Korea. After selecting the articles, we coded author, title, publication year, outcomes, sample sizes, mean, and standard deviation. Next, we analyzed the total effect size, the effect sizes for cognitive and affective domains, respectively, and the effect sizes for moderating variables such as target, publishing type, subject type, and program period. As a result, the overall effect size was 0.59, which indicates an intermediate effect size. The effect sizes for cognitive and affective domains also showed intermediate effect sizes. Among the moderating variables, target and program period showed significant differences. Based on these results, we attempted to monitor the effectiveness of digital literacy education programs and provide implications for the design of digital literacy programs in the future.
