저소득 청소년 대상 장기 진로탐색 프로그램의 과정과 결과에 대한 질적 평가연구

본 연구의 목적은 저소득 청소년 대상 장기 진로탐색 프로그램의 과정과 결과를 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위해 중학교 2학년부터 고등학교 3학년까지 진로탐색활동에 참여한 후, 20대가 되어 자신의 진로를 구체화하는 과정에 있는 저소득 후기청소년 12명을 대상으로 개별심층면접을 실시하였고, 주제분석방법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 10개의 하위범주와 5개의 상위주제를 도출하였다. 첫째, 진로탐색 프로그램 참여 과정의 주제는 ‘꿈이 성장하다’와 ‘꿈을 함께 꾸다’이다. ‘꿈이 성장하다’의 하위범주는 마음껏 상상하기, 꿈과 현실 연결하기, 구체적으로 구상하고 행동하기이며, ‘꿈을 함께 꾸다’의 하위범주는 또래와 함께 꿈 찾기, 좋은 어른들의 선한 영향력 받기이다. 둘째, 프로그램 참여 결과의 주제는 ‘꿈에 다가가다’이며, 하위범주는 꿈을 향해 나아가는 능력, 정서적 안정과 편안함이다. 셋째, 프로그램 장기효과의 주제는 ‘꿈을 펼치다’와 ‘꿈을 나누다’이다. ‘꿈을 펼치다’의 하위범주는 나의 길을 걸어가기, 계속 이어지는 고마운 인연이며, ‘꿈을 나누다’의 하위범주는 나눔의 선순환이다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 저소득 청소년의 꿈과 진로 지원을 위한 정책 및 실천 방안에 대해 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study is to confirm the process and results of a long-term career exploration program for low-income adolescents. To achieve this purpose, in-depth interviews were conducted with twelve adolescents from low-income families, who are giving shape to their career after participating in career exploration activities between their second year of middle school and their third year of high school. The thematic analysis method was used to analyze those responses. This study produced ten subcategory, five main themes. First, the themes of the process of participating in career program are ‘Dream Growth’ and ‘Dream Together’. ‘Dream Growth’ includes “Imagine as much as you want”, “Connect your dream to the reality” and “Come up with a concrete plan and take actions”. And ‘Dream Together’ includes “Find a dream with other adolescents” and “Good influences from good adults”. Second, the theme of the program participation result is ‘Approaching the Dream’, and the subcategories are “The ability to move toward my dream,”and “Emotional stability and comfort”. Third, the themes of the long-term effect of participating in the program are ‘Spread out a dream’and ‘Share a dream’. ‘Spread out a dream’ includes “I go on my own way”and “Continuing grateful connection”. And ‘Share a dream’ includes “Virtuous cycle of sharing”. Based on these findings, we made suggestions to help low-income adolescents to find dreams and career development.
