초록/요약
본 연구의 목적은 부모 양육태도와 청소년의 스마트폰 의존 간의 관계에서 그릿과 학업무기력의 매개효과와 각 경로의성별 차이를 확인하는 것이다. 이를 통해 중학생들의 스마트폰 의존에 미치는 영향요인을 밝혀, 성별에 따른 개입 방안에대해 모색하고자 하였다. 한국청소년정책연구원의 한국아동⋅청소년패널조사(2018) 중1 패널 1차년도 자료의 중학교1학년 2,360명을 대상으로 구조방정식 모델, 다집단 분석을 활용하였다. 부모의 긍정적⋅부정적 양육태도가 자녀의스마트폰 의존에 미치는 영향에서 그릿과 학업무기력이 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 성별에 따른 다집단 분석결과, 부모의 긍정적 양육태도는 남학생의 그릿에, 부정적 양육태도는 여학생의 그릿과 스마트폰 의존에 더 큰 영향을 미치는것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 성별 차이를 반영한 중학생의 스마트폰 의존 감소를 위한 프로그램 개발의기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

The purpose of this study was to confirm the mediating effect of grit and academic helplessness and gender differences in each path in the relationship between parents’ parenting attitudes and adolescents’ dependence on smartphones. Through this, it was intended to clarify the factors influencing middle school students’ dependence on smartphones and to seek intervention measures according to gender. The first-year data of the 7th graders’ panel from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) 2018 were utilized. A total of 2,360 first-year students of middle school (7th graders) were included in the analysis. The data were analyzed using the structural equation modeling and the multi-group analysis between males and females. Grit and academic helplessness were found to partially mediate in the effect of parents’ positive and negative parenting attitudes on their children’s dependence on smartphones. As a result of the multi-group analysis according to gender, it was found that a positive parenting attitude has a greater effect on the grit of male students, and a negative parenting attitude has a greater effect on the grit and smartphone dependence of female students. These research results can be utilized as basic data for program development to reduce middle school students’ dependence on smartphones reflecting gender differences.
