초록/요약
대학 글쓰기의 과정에서 ‘개요 작성’은 체계적이고 논리적인 글쓰기를 위해서 반드시 필요한 과정이라고 알려져 있다. 이 연구는 대학 글쓰기에서 ‘개요 작성’ 부분을 실제로 수업하는 과정에서 학생들이 스스로 제기하는 문제들을 통해 이 부분이 갖는 문제점을 발견･분석하고자 한다. 이를 위해 먼저 주요 대학 글쓰기 교재에서 ‘개요’ 부분을 어떻게 설명하고 있는지 살핀 다음, 한 대학을 예로 들어 교재의 내용이 실제 수업에서 어떻게 운영되고 있는지 고찰하여 보았다. 그리고 수업 현장에서 학생들이 개요의 의의에 대해 제기한 문제점을 제시하고, 이와 같은 문제들이 대학 글쓰기에서 ‘개요’를 가르치는 데 어떠한 시사점을 던져주는지 분석해보았다. 학생들이 주로 던진 질문은, ‘본격적으로 글을 쓰기 전에, 반드시 개요를 작성해야 하는가’, ‘개요란 글쓰기를 할 때 반드시 가장 먼저 해야 하는 작업인가’, ‘개요와 목차의 차이점은 무엇인가’의 세 가지로, 이를 통해 개요 작성의 필요성, 개요 작성의 회귀적 특성, 개요와 목차의 차이에 대한 문제점을 분석하고 그 대안을 제시하였다.

Currently, writing education contents at major universities include “the importance of writing”, “ethics of writing”, “the process of writing”, “right sentence writing”, “how to write”, The writing process, which is a major part of this, consists of deciding the topic of the writing you want to write, then considering how to organize the topic to express student's opinion, making a plan, and then writing according to the plan. Therefore, this study aims to discover and analyze the problems of the outline writing part through the problems raised by students themselves in the process of actually teaching the ‘outline’ part of college writing. The problems that students throw in the course of class are summarized into the following three. 1) ‘Do I have to write an outline before I start writing?’ 2) ‘Is outline the first thing I have to do when I write?’ 3) ‘What is the difference between outline and table of contents?’ These three questions were important for learning outline of college writing, and I paid attention to why these questions occur and how to solve them.
