이 연구는 코로나19 상황에서의 학교폭력 발생 현황과 추진된 학교폭력 예방 및 대응 정책의 효과성에 대한 중ㆍ고등학생과 교사의 인식을 분석하여 학교 현장에서의 학교폭력 정책에 관한 요구를 파악하고, 이를 바탕으로 효과적인 학교폭력 예방 및 대응 정책 방안을 마련하기 위한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위해 전국의 중ㆍ고등학생 7,808명과 교사 6,576명을 대상으로 학교 내 학교폭력 수준과 학교폭력 정책별 효과성에 대한 인식을 조사하였다. 분석 결과, 교사는 학생에 비하여 학교 내 학교폭력의 심각성과 학교폭력 정책별 효과성을 높게 인식하고 있었다. 또한 심각한 학교폭력 유형과 학교폭력 발생의 주요 원인에 대해서도 학생과 교사 간의 인식 차이가 나타났다. 한편, 학생과 교사 모두 가해학생 조치 관련 정책들의 효과성을 높게 인식하고 있었다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 코로나19 발생 이후 변화된 학교 환경에 대응하는 학교폭력 예방 및 대책 정책 수립을 위한 시사점을 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to understand the needs of school violence policies by analyzing adolescents' and teachers' perceptions of the effectiveness of school violence prevention policies after the COVID-19 pandemic and propose effective interventions based on the analysis. A survey was conducted on 7,808 adolescents and 6,576 teachers. As a result of the analysis, teachers were more aware of the seriousness of school violence in schools and the effectiveness of each school violence policy than adolescents. In addition, there was a difference in perception between adolescents and teachers on the types of serious school violence and the main causes of school violence. On the other hand, both adolescents and teachers were highly aware of the effectiveness of policies related to punishment of the perpetrator. Based on the results of the study, implications for school violence prevention policy in response to the changed school environment during the COVID-19 pandemic were discussed.
