본 연구는 문화예술교육 경험과 개인이 갖는 문화수용력이 음악장르, 문화예술 활동, 스포츠 활동에 대한 문화적 관용에 미치는 영향을 확인하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 2011년 <문화 생산과 소비의 사회적 지평: 문화자본에 관한 경제사회학적 접근> 연구단이 수행한 ‘문화자본에 대한 인식 및 실태조사’ 자료에 대해 위계적 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 싫어하는 음악장르, 문화예술 활동, 스포츠 활동 개수를 종속변수로 한 위계적 다중회귀분석 실시 결과, 모든 경우 모형1(문화예술교육 변수 투입)에서 모형2(인구사회학적 특성 변수 추가)로, 모형3(문화수용력 변수 추가)으로 갈수록 모형의 설명력이 증가했다(p<.001). 둘째, 특히, 모형2와 모형3에서 추가되는 변수들의 개수를 비교해 볼 때, 모형3에서 추가되는 문화수용력 변수들이 음악장르, 문화예술 활동, 스포츠 활동 분야의 문화적 관용에 미치는 영향력의 크기는 상당한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 문화예술교육 변수와 문화수용력 변수들은 전형적인 문화영역 이외의 스포츠 활동 영역 대한 문화적 관용도에도 긍정적인 영향을 미쳐 문화예술교육의 효과가 문화예술 영역에 국한되지 않고 범사회적 영역으로 확산될 수 있는 가능성을 보여주었다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of arts and culture education experience and individual cultural capacity on cultural tolerance for music genres, cultural arts activities, and sports activities. To this end, a hierarchical multiple regression analysis was performed on the ‘2011 data on perceptions and actual conditions of cultural capital’. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, in all cases, the explanatory power of the model increased from model1(arts and culture education variable) to model2(socio-demographic variable added) and increased with model3(addition of cultural capacity variables) (p<.001). Second, especially, when comparing the number of variables added in Model 2 and Model 3, the influence of the cultural capacity variables added in Model 3 on cultural tolerance of music genres, cultural activities, and sports activities was found to be significant. Third, culture and art education variables and cultural capacity variables have a positive effect on cultural tolerance for sports activities other than typical cultural areas. This showed the possibility that the effects of arts and culture education could be spread not only to the field of arts and culture, but also to the whole society.
