수용자 자녀를 지원하는 사회복지실천가의 경험

Experience of Social Welfare Practitioners for Children with Incarcerated Parents

초록/요약

The purpose of this study was to conducted to explore the experiences of the social welfare practitioners in the field of social welfare practice targeting the children with incarcerated parents. Eight participants who voluntarily agreed to participate in the study were selected for in-depth interviews, and thematic analysis was performed. The study found three themes, “The perception of social welfare practitioners about the children with incarcerated parents”, “The situation of the practice site supporting the children with incarcerated parents”, and “The expected role as a social welfare practitioner supporting the children with incarcerated parents”. “The child of the perpetrator, not one child”, “The wall of reality that encounters supporting the children with incarcerated parents”, “The reward of growing up with the children with incarcerated parents”, “The role social welfare practitioners expect more from self”, “The role that the children with incarcerated parents expects from the social welfarepractitioners” 5 categories and 15 subcategories were derived. Based on the results of the study, support policies were sought for social welfare practitioners and children with incarcerated parents, and social welfare implications were discussed.

본 연구는 수용자 자녀지원 현장에서 종사하는 사회복지실천가의 경험을 탐색하기 위해 실시되었다. 연구 참여에 자발적으로 동의한 사회복지실천가 8인을 최종 연구참여자로 선정하여심층 면담을 진행하였고, 이를 통해 수집한 자료로 주제분석을 시행하였다. 연구결과, ‘수용자자녀에 대한 사회복지실천가의 인식’, ‘수용자 자녀를 지원하는 실천 현장의 상황’, ‘수용자 자녀를 지원하는 사회복지실천가로서 기대되는 역할’ 3개의 주제와, ‘가해자의 자녀이기 전에 한아동인 수용자 자녀’, ‘수용자 자녀를 지원하며 부딪히는 현실의 벽’, ‘수용자 자녀와 함께 성장하며 얻는 보람’, ‘사회복지실천가로서 스스로에게 더 기대하는 역할’, ‘수용자 자녀가 사회복지실천가에게 기대하는 역할’ 5개의 범주, 그리고 15개의 하위범주로 도출되었다. 이 결과를바탕으로 수용자 자녀와 그들을 지원하는 사회복지실천가를 위한 지원방안을 모색하고, 사회복지적 함의를 논하였다
