본고는 황해도 방언의 자음 체계와 그것의 통시적 변화에 대하여 논의한다. 특히 장연 지역어의 음성 자료를 중심으로 /ㅈ, ㅉ, ㅊ/의 음가 및 그와 관련된 음운 현상의 관계를 논의한다. 우선, /ㅈ, ㅉ, ㅊ/의 음성 실현 양상을 검토한다. 다음으로, 자음 체계와 두 음운 현상 즉 구개음화, 구개모음화의 관계에 대해 각각 논의한다. 이를 바탕으로 황해도 방언의 자음 체계의 통시적 변화 과정을 제시한다.

This paper investigates the consonant system of the Hwanghay-to dialect and its diachronic change. In particular, the relationship between the phonetic values of /ʦ, ʦ’, ʦʰ/ and related phonological phenomena is discussed, with a focus on the phonetic data of the Cangyen subdialect. First, the phonetic realization patterns of /ʦ, ʦ’, ʦʰ/ are examined. Next, the relationship between the consonant system and the two phonological phenomena, that is, palatalization and vowel palatalization, is discussed. Based on this examination, the process of the diachronic change of the consonant system of the Hwanghay-to dialect is presented.
