초록/요약
본 연구의 목적은 영 케어러의 가족 돌봄 경험 탐색을 통해 이들이 겪는 어려움을 다양한 측면에서 살펴보고 지원방안을 모색하는 것이다. 이를 위해, 본 연구에서는 영 케어러 5명을 대상으로 심층면접을 통해 자료를 수집하고, 질적 사례연구 방법으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 영 케어러의 가족 돌봄 경험은 ‘시한폭탄을 안고 살아옴’. ‘나홀로 떠맡게 됨’, ‘벼랑 끝에 몰림’, ‘돌봄 과 일상의 균형을 이루기 위해 애씀’ 4개의 범주, 8개의 하위범주로 도출되었다. 결론적으로, 영 케어러의 사례를 관통하는 중심주제는 ‘돌봄과 사회적 역할 사이의 위태로운 줄타기’로 밝혀졌다. 이를 바탕으로 영 케어러 실태조사, 돌봄 기간의 경력인정, 자조모임 지원, 심리⋅정서적 지지 등을 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study is to examine their difficulties in various aspects and seek support measures through the exploration of the family care experience of young caregivers. To this end, in this study, data were collected through in-depth interviews with young caregivers, and a qualitative case study method was applied. As a result of the study, young carers’ family care experience was derived into four categories such as “Living with a time bomb,” “Being held responsible by myself,” “Struggling,” “Trying to achieve a balance between care and daily life,” and eight subcategories. In conclusion, the main theme that penetrates young carers’ case turned out to be “a precarious tightrope between care and social role.” Based on these results, a survey on the actual status of young caregivers, career recognition, support for self-help groups, and emotional support were suggested.
