본 연구는 부모의 정서사회화가 청소년의 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 정서조절곤란이 부모의 정서사회화와 학교생활적응 간의 관계를 매개하는지 살펴보는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 고등학교 1~3학년 276명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 각 변인들 간의 관계 및 경로를 살펴보기 위해 상관관계 분석, 경로분석을 실시하였으며, 부트스트랩핑 방법을 통해 경로모형에서 간접효과의 유의미성을 검증하였다. 연구결과, 지지적 및 비지지적 사회화 전략을 포함한 아버지와 어머니의 정서사회화는 청소년의 학교생활적응에 모두 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않았다. 그러나 아버지와 어머니의 지지적 사회화 전략은 정서조절곤란을 통해 청소년의 학교생활적응에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 비지지적 사회화 전략은 부적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구는 부모의 정서사회화가 자녀의 발달 및 적응에 미치는 영향력을 살펴본 선행연구들에서 상대적으로 관심이 부족했던 청소년을 대상으로 연구를 수행함으로써 청소년에 대한 아버지와 어머니의 정서사회화 영향력을 보여주는 결과를 도출하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the direct effect of parental emotion socialization on adolescents' school adjustment and the mediating effect of emotion dysregulation in this relationship. A total of 276 high school students completed a online survey. To examine the relationships between each variable, correlation analysis and path analysis were conducted. A bootstrap approach was used to test the mediating effect of emotion dysregulation. Parental emotion socialization, including supportive and non-supportive socialization strategies did not directly affect adolescents’ school adjustment. However, fathers’ and mothers’ supportive socialization strategies had a positive effect on adolescents’ school adjustment through emotion dysregulation, while both parents’ non-supportive socialization strategies had a negative effect on adolescent school adjustment through emotion dysregulation. This study has implications in that it has derived the results emphasizing the influence of emotion socialization of father and mother, conducting a study on adolescents who had relatively lacking interest in the previous studies examining the influence of parental emotion socialization on their children's development and adjustment.
