본 연구의 목적은 제4차 어린이집 표준보육과정에 기초한 영아 · 놀이중심 보육과정 실행역량을 증진할 수 있도록 영아교사를 지원하는 교사교육 프로그램을 개발하는 것이다. 이를 위해 선행연구와 서울지역 영아교사 243명의 요구조사 결과를 바탕으로 프로그램 시안을 구성하여 타당도를 점검하고, 영아교사 7명에게 적용한 후, 평가 결과를 토대로 수정, 보완하여 프로그램 최종안을 개발하였다. 본 프로그램의 교육 내용은 영아 · 놀이중심 보육과정 이해하고 실천하기, 놀이를 통한 영아의 경험과 배움이해하기, 개별 학급의 특성이 드러나도록 영아 · 놀이중심 보육과정 운영하기, 동료 교사 및 부모와 지속 가능한 협력관계 형성하기의 4가지 내용 범주, 8개 주제로 구성되어 있다. 교수학습방법은 강의, 토의, 사례 나누기, 저널 쓰기이며, 교육은 8명 이하의 소집단 영아교사를 대상으로 온 · 오프라인 혼합방식을 활용하여 회당 120분~150분씩 8회, 총 17시간으로 운영된다. 본 연구의 결과는 보육과정이개정 · 시행되는 시기에는 현장 교사를 지원하는 교육이 필수적이며, 제4차 어린이집 표준보육과정에기초한 영아 · 놀이중심 보육과정 운영의 내실화를 위해서는 개별 학급에서의 실질적 현장 적용을 지원하는 교사교육이 요구됨을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study was to develop a teacher education program that supports infant teachers to enhance their capabilities in implementing the infant and play-oriented curriculum based on the 4th standard childcare curriculum. To this end, a program draft was designed based on previous studies and the results of needs survey of 243 infant teachers in Seoul. The draft was examined for validity, applied to seven infant teachers, and then modified and improved based on the evaluation results to develop the final program. The educational content of this program consists of four categories and eight topics: understanding and implementing the infant and play-oriented curriculum, understanding infants' experiences and learning through play, implementing the infant and play-oriented curriculum to reflect the characteristics of individual classes, and establishing sustainable partnerships with colleagues and parents. The teaching and learning methods include lectures, discussions, case sharing, and journal writing, and training is delivered to a small group of infant teachers with no more than eight participants in a combination of online and offline format for eight sessions of 120 to 150 minutes each, for a total of 17 hours. The results of this study indicate that providing education to support infant teachers is essential during the period when the childcare curriculum is being revised and implemented, and that teacher education to support practical application in individual classes is required to strengthen the implementation of the infant and play-oriented curriculum based on the 4th standard childcare curriculum.
