본 연구는 이주배경청소년 상담자의 역량을 개념도를 통해 밝히고 그러한 인식의 중요도와 수행도를 탐색하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해, 이주배경청소년 상담을 실천하는 기관의 실무경력 평균 3년 이상인 연구참여자 9명을 대상으로 초점 집단 인터뷰를 수행하였다. 개념도 분석 절차에 따라 이주배경청소년 상담자 역량에 대한 117개의 개념 진술문을 도출한 후 58개의 핵심 진술문을 최종 확정하였다. 확정된 진술문에 대해 28명을 대상으로 유사성 분류를 수행하고 다차원 척도 분석, 위계적 군집분석을 순차적으로 적용하여 2차원(인간적 자질-전문적 자질, 이주배경에 대한 지식과 태도-상담기법)의 개념도가 도출되었다. 최종적으로 6개의 개념 군집이 확인되었으며, 58개의 진술문에 대한 중요도, 수행도, 중요도-수행도 차이를 각각 평정하였다. 본 연구는 이주배경청소년 상담자의 중요성이 재조명되는 시점에서 그 핵심개념을 실증적으로 탐색하였다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다.

The purpose of this research was to explore the competence of counselors for youths from migrant backgrounds through concept mapping and to explore the importance and performance of such perceptions. In this research, focus group interview (FGI) was conducted on 9 participants with an average of more than three years of practical experience in institutions that practice counseling for youths from migrant backgrounds. According to the conceptual map analysis procedure, 117 concept statements on the competency of counselors for youths from migrant backgrounds were derived, and 58 focal statements were finalized. A similarity classification task was performed on 28 confirmed statements, and two-dimensional conceptual map (human quality-professional quality, knowledge and attitude toward migration background-counseling skills) was derived using multidimensional scaling and hierarchical cluster analysis. Finally, six conceptual clusters were identified, and the average value of importance and performance, and the difference between importance and performance for 58 statements were evaluated and compared, respectively. This study is meaningful in that it explored the concept in an empirical way at a time when the professional qualities of counselors for youths with migrant backgrounds are revisited.
