초록/요약
본 연구의 목적은 시설 퇴소 청년의 자기공개 경험을 심층적으로 탐색하고 이해하는 것이다. 이를 위해 개별 심층면접을 통한 질적사례연구 방법으로 연구를 수행하였다. 퇴소 후 자립한 지 1년 이상 10년 이내인 만 18세 이상의 시설 퇴소 청년 총 11명이 연구에참여하였다. 분석 결과, ‘굳이 드러내고 싶지 않았던 이야기’, ‘그 이야기를 처음 꺼내는 순간’, ‘의도치 않게 정리된 주변 관계’, ‘고민속에 성장해가는 과정’의 4개 주제와 15개의 하위주제가 도출되었다. 본 연구를 통해 시설 퇴소 청년의 자기공개 경험은 중심주제인‘매번 시험대에 올라야 하는 순간’으로 파악되었다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 시설 퇴소 청년의 자기공개가 더 이상 사회의 편견과 차별의심판대에 오르지 않을 수 있도록 정책적, 실천적 방안을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to explore in-depth and understand the self-disclosure experience of youth leaving residential care. For this purpose, the study was conducted in a qualitative case study method through individual in-depth interviews. A total of 11 young adults aged 18 years or older who had been independent for at least 1 year and less than 10 years after leaving residential care, participated in the study. As a result of the analysis, 4 themes and 15 sub-themes were derived: ‘A story I did not want to reveal’, ‘The moment I brought up my story first’, ‘Unintentionally organized relationships’, and ‘The process of growing up in worries'. Through this study, the self-disclosure experience of youth leaving residential care could be identified as the main theme, ‘The moment to be tested every time’. Based on the results of the study, policy and practice measures were suggested so that the self-disclosure of youth leaving residential care would no longer be judged by social prejudice and discrimination in society.
