본고에서는 한국 내 일본어교육의 실천보고‧연구를 대상으로 코로나 사태 전후(2017년~2022년)의 수업형태가 어떻게 변화했는지 최신 동향을 살펴보았다. 조사 결과, 온라인수업이 전면 시행된 2020년을 기점으로 ①ICT 활용형 대면수업과 ②블렌드형 대면수업이 축소되고, ③온디맨드형 온라인수업, ④실시간형 온라인수업, ⑤블렌드형 온라인수업, 그리고 ⑥하이플렉스형 수업이 확대되는 경향이 나타났다. 이는 대면수업에서 온라인 혹은 하이브리드수업(대면수업과 온라인수업의 혼합)으로의 전환이 진전되고 있다는 것을 방증하는 결과라고 할 수 있다. 앞으로도 이러한 추세는 지속될 것으로 전망되지만 교육의 온라인화에 따른 수업의 질과 개선에 대한 논의는 부족한 실정이다. 이에 수업의 질적 향상을 꾀하는 데에 유용한 도구로 활용될 수 있는 평가기준‧준거의 예를 들어 살펴보고, 몇 가지 활용방안과 시사점을 제시하였다. 향후 온라인 혹은 하이브리드수업의 실제 설계 및 실행을 모니터링하거나 평가할 때 일종의 준거틀인 평가기준이 어떻게 활용될 수 있는지, 그리고 그것이 수업의 질 제고로 이어질 수 있는지에 대해 탐색하고자 한다.

This study examines recent trends in the practices of Japanese language education and research in Korea before and after the COVID-19 pandemic (2017-2022), focusing on the changes in class formats. The results reveal a significant shift that began with the full implementation of online classes in 2020. This shift is characterized by a reduction in the types of (1) ICT-based face-to-face classes and (2) blended face-to-face classes, coupled with an increase in (3) ondemand online classes, (4) real-time online classes, (5) blended online classes, and (6) HyFlex classes. These findings demonstrate a noticeable transition from traditional facetoface classes to online or hybrid (a combination of facetoface and online) classes, and this trend is expected to persist. Given the current scarcity of discussions concerning the enhancement of quality within the context of online education, this paper presents specific examples of evaluation criteria and standards that can serve as valuable tools for enhancing the quality of classes. Furthermore, the paper suggests ways in which these criteria could be applied and it explores their effects and implications. Subsequently, the study will explore how the evaluation criteria and benchmarks can be employed as a framework for monitoring and assessing the design and practice of online or hybrid classes, and how these could contribute to an enhancement in the quality of education.
