초록/요약
2021 and 2022 were times which the attempt to survey Korean Art in the context of Global Art History stood out. Especially, the fact that journal publications written in English both by Korean and non-Korean researchers were published in Korean academic journals, along with increase in numbers of submission of overseas academic journals show the possibility of research exchange and expansion. Secondly, the scope has expanded to the issues of production subject, patron, production process, and collection. Universal boundaries of the academic subjects were challenged, pursuing socio-cultural analysis, and the presence of masters, such as monk artists, monk sculptors, and craftsmen of embroidery and handicraft, had emerged. Finally, the change in the topography of research should be noted. Overall, resources such as database (ancient books, ancient manuscripts, Uigwe , newspapers, gelatin dry plate) and e-museum , provided by national and public museums of Korea, were the bases how our academia could result in such remarkable outcome despite the era of Covid-19 pandemic. Now, archiving will be leading the direction of future researches in Korean Art; attention and cooperation from researchers in establishment and sorting of database materials is necessary.

2021년, 2022년 학계에서는 글로벌 미술사의 컨텍스트 속에서 한국미술을 조망하는 시도가 돋보였다. 특히 내·외국인 연구자의 영문 원고가 국내 출간 학술지에 게재되고, 해외 학술지 투고도 증가한 점은 연구 교류 및 확대 가능성을 보여준다. 두 번째로는 제작주체와 후원자, 제작공정이나 수집의 문제로 시야를 넓힌 점이다. 학문 분야의 보편적 경계에 도전하거나 사회문화적 분석을 지향하였으며, 주제면에서 화승과 조각승, 자수 및 공예 장인의 존재가 부각되기도 했다. 마지막으로는 연구지형의 변화가 주목된다. 우리 학계가 코로나 19 팬데믹 시기에도 뛰어난 성과를 도출할 수 있었던 저변에는 데이터베이스(고도서, 고문서, 의궤, 신문, 유리원판) 및 국공립박물관의 e뮤지엄과 같은 제반 환경들이 존재했다. 이제 아카이빙은 향후 한국미술 연구의 방향성을 선도하게 될 것이며, DB 자료의 구축과 선별에 연구자들의 관심과 협업이 필요하다 생각된다.
