This study aims to find out the direction of children’s clothing life guidance and parental support by investigating the current status and perception of clothing life guidance among parents with children aged 2 to 5. This study targeted 339 parents with children aged 2 to 5 who are enrolled in early childhood education institutions, and used a questionnaire for parents created by the researcher based on clothing life guidance-related literature. As a result of the study, parents with children aged 2 to 5 did not provide much guidance on clothing as an area of daily life, and their awareness of its importance and difficulty was low. The majority of parents perceived organizing and managing clothing as difficult, and only 57.8% of parents provided clothing life guidance. In addition, parents mainly sought guidance information from the Internet, family, and acquaintances, and 91.4% of parents had no experience participating in parent education related to clothing life guidance, and perceived the necessity as moderate or necessary. Based on the research results, it is suggested that efforts need to be made to increase parents’ correct understanding, awareness, and professional ability regarding chidren’s clothing life guidance, and identify parents’ needs and support them efficiently and effectivel

본 연구는 만 2~5세 자녀를 둔 부모의 의생활 지도 실태 및 인식 조사를 통하여, 영유아기 의생활 지도 및 부모 지원 방향을 알아보고자 한다. 연구는 유아교육기관에 재원 중인 만 2~5세 자녀를 둔 부모 339명을 대상으로 하였으며, 연구자가 의생활 지도 관련 문헌들을 바탕으로 제작한 부모용 설문지를 사용하였다. 연구결과, 만 2~5세 자녀를 둔 부모들은 일 상생활영역 가운데 의생활은 많이 지도하고 있지 않으며, 중요성 및 어려움에 대한 인식도 낮은 편이었다. 과반수의 부모가 의복 정리 및 관리를 어렵게 인식하였고, 57.8%의 부모만 이 의생활 지도를 하고 있었다. 또한, 부모들은 주로 인터넷과 가족 및 지인에게서 지도 정 보를 구하고 있었으며, 91.4%의 부모가 의생활 지도 관련 부모교육에 참여한 경험이 없고, 필요성은 보통 및 필요함 정도로 인식하였다. 연구결과를 바탕으로, 부모에게 영유아기 의 생활 지도에 대한 올바른 이해와 인식, 전문적인 능력을 높여주는 것과 부모의 요구를 파악 해 효율적 및 효과적으로 지원하고자 노력을 기울일 필요가 있음을 시사한다.
