본 연구는 청소년기에 크게 증가하는 것으로 알려진 반응적 공격성의 효과적 개입을 위해 관련 기제를 살펴보고자 실시되었다. 이를 위해 국내 중학생 332명의 자기보고식 설문자료를 사용하여, 내현적 자기애가 반응적 공격성을 예측하는지 살펴보고 이 경로에서 피해자 정의민감성과 도덕적 이탈의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 웅대하지만 취약한 자기애인 내현적 자기애는 직접적으로 반응적 공격성을 예측하였다. 둘째, 내현적 자기애와 반응적 공격성의 관계에서 도덕적 이탈의 단순매개효과가 유의하였으며, 피해자 정의민감성과 도덕적 이탈을 순차적으로 거치는 이중매개효과가 유의하였다. 내현적 자기애가 피해자 정의민감성을 거쳐 반응적 공격성으로 이어지는 간접효과는 유의하지 않았다. 본 연구는 주도적 공격성을 통제하여 순수한 반응적 공격성에 대한 관련 변인의 설명력을 확인하고, 피해자 정의민감성과 도덕적 이탈을 포함한 구체적 기제를 확인하여 반응적 공격성을 감소시키기 위한 개입 방안의 근거를 제공하였다는 의의를 지닌다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of victim justice sensitivity and moral disengagement in the relations between covert narcissism and reactive aggression of adolescents. For this purpose, 332 self-report data of middle school students was analyzed. The results indicated that covert narcissism predicted victim justice sensitivity, moral disengagement, and reactive aggression directly. Although victim justice sensitivity significantly explained the increase in moral disengagement, it did not predict reactive aggression. Moral disengagement positively predicted reactive aggression. Second, the simple mediating effect of moral disengagement was significant in the relation between covert narcissism and reactive aggression, and the dual mediating effect of victim justice sensitivity and moral disengagement in order was also significant. The indirect path between covert narcissism and reactive aggression, with victim justice sensitivity as a mediator, was not significant. This study is of value in that it confirmed the influence of covert narcissism on reactive aggression while controlling proactive aggression, and suggested more effective intervention strategies to reduce reactive aggression by identifying working mechanisms including victim justice sensitivity and moral disengagement.
