김지혜, 2023, 생성형 인공지능을 활용한 소설 창작 교육의 가능성, 어문연구, 200 : 373~401 본 논문은 생성형 인공지능이 소설 창작의 도구로 활용될 수 있음을 확인하고, 이러한 생성형 인공지능을 활용한 소설 창작 교육의 가능성을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이에 기존 문학교육에서의 ‘창작’의 문제를 통해 인공지능 시대의 변화하는 ‘창작’ 역량에 대해 살펴보았으며, 생성형 인공지능을 활용한 소설 창작 양상을 분석함으로써 인공지능을 활용한 소설 창작 교육의 가능성을 검토해 보았다. 이를 통해 본 연구에서는 생성형 인공지능이 소설 창작 교육에서 다음과 같은 방향으로 활용될 수 있다고 제안하였다. 첫째, 생성형 인공지능은 소설 구상하기의 브레인스토밍 단계 혹은 실질적 집필의 단계에서 다양한 아이디어를 제공해 줄 수있다. 둘째, 학습자들은 생성형 인공지능을 활용하여 경험해 보지 못한 다양한 시공간에 대한 정보를 얻을 수 있다. 셋째, 생성형 인공지능을 통해 학습자들은 구상한 내용을 즉각적으로 구현해 볼 수 있으며, 소설의 스타일이나 문체 등에 변화를줄 수 있다. 넷째, 미드저니(Midjourney), 달리(DALL-E) 등의 인공지능 도구를 활용하여 창작 소설을 새로운 디지털 서사 콘텐츠로 발전시킬 수 있다. 마지막으로, 이러한 인공지능 활용 소설 창작 교육의 과정에서 학습자들은 인공지능과의 소통 방식을 익히고, 이를 윤리적으로 활용할 수 있는 태도 역시 학습할 수 있을 것이다.

This paper investigates the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools, such as ChatGPT4 and Bard, in novel writing and their potential application in novel writing education. This paper first examined the changing competencies in “creation” in literary education in the age of AI and explored the potential of AI-assisted novel writing education by analyzing cases of novel creation using generative artificial intelligence. The research proposes that generative AI can be utilized in novel writing education in the following ways: First, generative AI can offer a variety of ideas during the brainstorming phase or actual writing phase of novel conception. Second, it allows access to information about various times and spaces that the author has not experienced. Third, learners can immediately implement their ideas using generative AI, allowing for changes in the style and diction of the novel. Through this process, learners can become aware of the characteristics of other authors and develop their own unique styles. Fourth, AI tools like Midjourney and DALL-E can be used to create illustrations that complement the written novel, transforming it into new digital narrative content with suitable images and music. Lastly, this process of AI-assisted novel writing education enables learners to understand how to communicate with AI and develop an ethical approach to its use. In conclusion, generative AI has the potential to be a valuable tool for novel creation education. It can help learners to generate new ideas, explore diverse perspectives, and develop their own unique style. It can also help learners to learn how to communicate with AI and develop an ethical attitude toward its use. The utilization of such generative artificial intelligence is expected to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of novel writing education and contribute to the cultivation of the creative abilities and ethical responsibilities necessary in the age of artificial intelligence.
