초록/요약
생성형 AI의 등장으로 인해 미래교육에 대한 긍정적인 전망과 인간의 능력을 뛰어넘는 기계에 대한 우려가 공존하고 있다. ChatGPT로 대변되는 생성형 AI의 우수한 성능에도 불구하고 생성형 AI의 교육적 의미와 역할에 대한 논의가 부족한 실정이다. 생성형 AI를 단순한 기계로 인식한다면, 미래교육을 실천하는데 있어 생성형 AI의 기능을 충분히 활용하지 못할 수 있다. 본 연구는 생성형 AI에 대한 교육적 관점을 고찰하고 생성형 AI와 함께하는 미래교육의 지향점을 탐색하고자 한다. 이를 위해 생성형 AI의 교육적 의미를 선행연구에 기반하여 논의하고, 교육적 맥락에서 생성형 AI의 주요한 특성을 분석하였다. 그리고 생성형 AI의 역할을 협력 파트너로 재정의하고, 인간과 생성형 AI 간의 협력을 행위자-네트워크 이론에 기반하여 논의하였다. 이러한 논의에 기반하여 협력 파트너로서 생성형 AI를 교육에 활용하는 구체적인 전략을 교육 목적, 학습활동, 교수자의 역할 측면에서 제안하였다. 또한, 생성형 AI 활용 교육은 다양한 긴장과 갈등을 유발할 수 있다는 점에서 교육발전을 위해 고려해야 할 다섯 가지 이슈를 제기하였다. 이 연구는 미래교육을 위해 생성형 AI에 대한 교육적 관점을 고찰하고 생성형 AI의 교육적 활용방안을 논의하는 데 주요한 시사점을 제공할 것이다.

Forecasts for the future of education involving generative AI evoke both optimism and apprehension. Although generative AI, exemplified by ChatGPT, demonstrates exceptional performance, the educational implications and roles of generative AI remain underexplored. Constraining generative AI to a mere machine hinders the full utilization of its potential and educational affordances. This study explored the educational implications of generative AI, analyzing its key characteristics within educational contexts. The research redefined generative AI as a collaborative partner, exploring human–AI collaboration through the lens of actor-network theory. Building on these insights, this study presented specific strategies for utilizing generative AI as a collaborative partner in education, encompassing educational purposes, learning activities, and the evolving role of instructors. Acknowledging the potential tensions and conflicts arising from integrating generative AI into education, this study identified five educational issues crucial for the coevolution of generative AI and education. This research invites reflection on educational perspectives regarding generative AI, fostering discussions on its educational usage for the future.
