심리 치유의 관점에서 본 조선 시대 유배 문인들의 蘇軾 수용

초록/요약
북송 문인 蘇軾은 정적들의 모함을 받아 일생의 대부분을 지방관 생활과 유배 생활로 점철했음에도 불구하고, 오히려 이 시기에 더욱 훌륭한 작품을 많이 지었다. 그의 유배 시기 작품 속에는 시련과 좌절을 극복해 낸 그의 초월적 인생관이 고스란히 녹아 있어 많은 이들에게 큰 감동과 교훈을 준다. 그렇기 때문에 조선 시대 유배 문인들은 소식의 유배 시기 詩文을 극찬하고 나아가 종종 자신을 소식과 동일시함으로써 스스로를 위안했으며, 소식의 인생관을 체화하여 소식처럼 초연하고 달관한 태도를 유지함으로써 비애를 극복하기도 했다. 그들은 또 소식 시문의 모의와 활용을 통해 소식의 시문에 담긴 소식의 가치관과 삶의 자세를 보다 심도 있게 수용함으로써 유배로 인한 비애와 심리적 좌절을 극복하기도 했다. 요컨대, 조선 시대 유배 문인들은 소식을 자신들이 본받고 싶은 롤모델이자 자신들과의 정신적 교유를 위한 벗으로 간주하고, 소식의 시문을 자신들의 심리적 상처를 치유하기 위한 처방으로 삼았는데, 이런 방법이 실제로 그들이 유배지에서의 비애를 극복하고 심리적 좌절을 시로 승화시키는 데 적지 않은 도움이 되었음을 그들의 시문을 통해 확인할 수 있었다.

Su Shi(蘇軾) spent most of his life in local governments and places of exile. But nevertheless, he wrote a lot of great literary works during these periods, and his transcendent view of life which overcame his hardship and frustration, is completely embedded in his literary works during these periods, giving many people great impressions and lessons. Because of that, the exiled writers of the Joseon Dynasty praised Su Shi’s literary works during the periods of exile. Furthermore, they often consoled themselves by identifying themselves with Su Shi, they also overcame their sorrow by embodying Su Shi's view of life and maintaining a detached and transcendent attitude like Su Shi. They also accepted Su Shi's value and attitude of life which were reflected in his literary works in more depth, through the simulation and utilization of Su Shi's literary works, to overcome the sorrow and psychological frustration caused by exiles. To sum up, the exiled writers of the Joseon Dynasty regarded Su Shi as a role model they wanted to emulate and a friend for spiritual companionship with them, and they considered Su Shi’s literary works as prescriptions to heal their psychological wounds. And this method actually seems to have helped them overcome their sorrow and psychological frustration of exiles.
