초록/요약
The 2022 midterm elections were so important that they are set to determine the political influence of President Biden and former President Trump over the next few years. Thus, the former and current presidents supported their parties’ candidates at the front of the election. Former President Trump actively used electoral endorsement, and President Biden enacted several laws to support important industries such as semiconductors, electric vehicles, and batteries. Several regression tests said that the electoral support strategies of the former and current presidents had positive effects on strengthening the electoral power of their parties’ candidates. However, former President Trump expressed his endorsement based on the Republican candidates’ loyalty to the former President, instead of their political careers. This electoral strategy is likely to have indirectly negatively affected the Republican candidates’ electoral power
