초록/요약
This study analyzes phonetic features in the natural speech of elderly Korean speakers using big data to investigate the effects of aging on speech production. The results revealed that elderly speakers exhibited reduced gender differences in F0, lower harmonics–to–noise ratio (HNR), and higher amplitude variation (Shimmer), reflecting typical aging–related changes in the vocal apparatus. In certain social communication contexts, the HNR and speech rate displayed phonetic characteristics that deviated from usual aging assumptions, most likely due to their emphasis on speech intelligibility during social interactions. These findings provide foundational data for developing speech recognition systems and age–friendly technologies.
